Re: Bye bye Sauber, hello Alfa Romeo

I wonder why they retained the Sauber part of the name in the BMW days but not now. It probably says more about the marketing plan rather than the team. I think Peter Sauber has no more links to the team now than Eddie Jordan does to whatever Racing Point will be known as in a couple of weeks time, ...

Re: New FE season

Another fun race - a bit messy here and there with some sloppy moves, probably helped by the dodgy track conditions. It was good to see Wehrlein earn a podium and Vandoorne looked a bit more settled until he comprehensively slammed his car into a wall. I have never got to grips with exactly how qual...

Re: New FE season

Matt Where can I find a calendar & details of where to watch on TV? UK & France? Official site I guess they do a similar page for France too. As far as I know there isn't a difference between coverage on the different channels. The BBC is just carrying Formula E's broadcast with Jack Nicholls and D...

Re: New FE season

First post of 2019, if anyone is reading. Two good races from Formula E with the new regulations. It would be nice to have an event with no safety car to see how much that is boosting the closeness of the racing. Even F1 could manage an exciting finish with the pack closed right up for a one or two ...

New FE season

New cars, new (old) drivers, new broadcaster in the UK, new tracks (like you can tell them apart half the time anyway), new rules, new race format, new, new, new. There are a lot of big changes this year, with a faster car that can, or at least should, run for a full race and now the events are defi...

Or maybe just spam that doesn't even work? The addresses don't look like they'd go anywhere but probably best not to go clicking them.

Many or most of the posts arriving on this site now are first posts from new users all with names along the lines of firstnamesurname or the other way around. There is a word changed to a link in the post they quote from.

I take it these are malicious in some way?

Re: Does anyone know when testing begins?

2019 pre-season testing runs from Monday 18 to 21 Feb, followed by Tuesday 26 Feb to 1 Mar.

Formula E has managed to schedule four races between now and then which might fill the gap a little bit.

Re: anyone up for a bit of Brazil?

Not saying I think Ocon did it on purpose, but I do agree with Jollyone Palmer that if that had been Hamilton he wouldn't even have tried it. A problem with the junior teams set up Palmer's point wasn't about the team that Ocon is driving for; it was more about the personal history between Ocon and...

Re: anyone up for a bit of Brazil?

10:30 was too late for me last night so I haven't watched anything beyond a few clips yet. Sounds like it was an entertaining one anyway and I'm looking forward to catching up later. Red Bull are doing well at the moment and people keep getting excited about the potential for next year's Honda engin...
