I've spent the past year or so designing and supervising the construction of Royal Enfield's new UK Technology Centre at Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground! :D

Yes, hanging around at Bruntingthorpe, nosing around their eclectic collection of cars and cold war aircraft and generally making a nuisance of myself paid off!

The owners introduced me to Royal Enfield back in 2014 and recommended me to them when they were looking for an Architect to design the new facility. They agreed to work with me and the rest is now history!

I'm really proud of what we've achieved and am very grateful they gave me the opportunity to work with them.

The project is just coming to completion now. The facility includes an Industrial Design studio complete with full size 3d milling machine for prototypes (ex-Aston Martin!), prototype building workshops, a CAD design/engineering studio, conference room with virtual reality projection screen and in the separate annex-building next door, engine dyno test cells, rolling road and emissions testing.

Its been a labour of love for me and a petrol-heads delight! I was lucky enough to work on the buildings concept with Pierre Terblanche - former head of design at Ducati, he inspired my entrance foyer and tower of motorcycles - a homage to the Barber Motor Sports Museum in Alabama.

I'll post a few more pics when I've got time.

Amazing! Looks like a fantastic place to work!

Certainly more attractive than anything Terblanche designed at Ducati! :D
