So.....

Post by funkyfreddy » Sun Nov 03, 2019 11:14 pm

This is what true british f1 fans think today...

:tumbleweed: :tumbleweed: :tumbleweed:

I didn't watch it. Haven't even bothered with the highlights most of the year.

After seeing various comments in the media about how he's now the greatest ever ahead of Michael/Fangio/Senna etc I can only conclude that the sport today called F1 isnt the same sport of the past.

Glad we agree on that!

I did enjoy Hockenheim though (I went there this year with mates and was sat in the stadium section where LeClerc went off and then of course when Hamilton went off in the same place... don't think I've ever cheered so much. It was especially funny cos all my mates I was with were Hamilton fans :D ) Especially since the last THREE GP I had been to previously Lewis had won (Italy 2015, Budapest 2016, Belgium 2017)

I'm the same, I watch the highlights on Channel 4 cos I like their show, but once the race has started and we're a few laps in I ffwd through a fair bit, unless it looks tasty from the start.

Boring power units.

Aero that makes the racing almost non-existsant in comparison to the past.

PR that hypes the whole weekend up like a WWE event

Cars that are piss easy to drive compared to those of the past

Go back to the "Formula" from 1986 I say :whistling:  (inc MANUAL GEARBOXES)
