The race in Spain is mainly plain

We're back to the start of the European leg of F1 and the Ferrari testing dominance has certainly evaporated.
OK. Leclerc could've won in bahrain but it looks unlikely that anyone but Merc. are going to continue their run of wins. Hope I'm wrong.

over half way and all runners still going, myself i'm utterly bored.
Gotta hope that either vettel or max on a two stop does something (fat chance) or i'm going to regret not mowing the lawn now and just checking the finishing order

On the upside, it looks like there will not be another GP at Borecelona again. Instead you can schedule in mowing the lawn at Zzzzandvoort while an army of orange-clad locals cheer deliriously as Verstappen goes past in another Red Bull that still is yet to unlock its development potential for another fifteen or so races.

Even the C4 highlights had to pad out their permitted ten minutes of race coverage on this race.

It really was dire wasn't it?
Even a Hamilton fan at work was regretting the time to watch it.

At least we have Monaco next with all of the action that Saturday brings

As it happens Monaco does throw the odd unpredictable race, generally once a decade same as hungaroring and even Spain (heck, even Crashtor won a race there) so I know i'll be watching.

Was Maldonado's victory there the one where the guy leading the race slowed down to celebrate with his team without registering that the finish line was still about 100 metres away and was passed before he could get the power back down?

I did see a mention of a chance of rain, but in the context of a reducing chance of rain. I think that even if Mercedes win this one having locked out the front row, it will at least end the run of 1-2 finishes because they try to run at such a slow pace that whoever is running second will end up too exposed to an aggressive strategy from third. I suppose Verstappen will break his run of smashing it in to the barriers after the swimming pool too, but someone always manages to make a mess of their car somewhere during practice. Stroll must be the laziest guess.

Duh, I thought you meant Maldonado won in Monaco, in GP2 obviously.

Google suggests that was actually Nicolas Kiesa in 2003 (so F3000). Time flies...
