Rumour: Kimi signs new two year Ferrari deal

:getin:

Brilliant news if true. The guy is one of only two potential legends we have around at the moment in my opinion (Alonso being the other)

Has Kimi not been on single year deals for the last two or three years? Who was the last driver racing in F1 after they had turned 40 too? It just sounds crazy enough to be true, all to be announced the week after Kimi wins from pole in Spa.

Kimi won't win another grand prix ever again, I'd also eat my hat if it's a 2 year deal. However I wouldn't be surprised by a 1 year extension.

It does seem excessive.

The story today is that Leclerc is back to being the preferred choice. Maybe that was what Vettel wanted to talk about after qualifying...

Maybe Stoffel's departure from McLaren is to make space for Kimi's return?

In reality, I am sure it's a more recent ex-McLaren driver that will be taking that seat.
