Airlines and fresh air

Post by herb » Wed Jul 18, 2018 12:47 pm

I was reading this article from the BBC about Richard Bacon getting an an unusual and very serious "unknown" chest infection, and it got me thinking.

I know that since smoking was banned on planes that the airlines use recycled air with less fresh air than when smoking was allowed, and a lot of evidence has suggested this is when DVT issues started, or rose.

I know that they reduce cabin pressure aswell which makes people drowsy and can also cause other issues (for example Silent Bends in divers), and I also know that these changes have reduced fuel consumption which is where a lot of profit can be made.

Given all these stories is it fair to say that air travel as it is is not good for your health? ... e-44872348
