Le Mans 2018

My bet is that Alonso will win - well he is in the joint best car by a mile - and will then give up F1 for Indycar and a punt at the 500.

He would probably do better at Indianapolis with a car, like all the other competitors. Being powered by a pole would probably be more reliable than the Honda engine he had last time, so it could still be worth considering.

With Le Mans, and WEC generally this year, it seems like the challenge is from the track more than rival cars. If Toyota don't win this time they are just doomed never to win it.

Looking at the practice times, the organisers seem to have done a better than expected job of levelling the playing field, but, yes, it is certainly Toyota's to lose.
