Yeah, wonder if at some point the leader will bin it in the closing stages in pursuit of a fastest lap?!

Horner said after the race that they were thinking of doing it with Gasly, even though he wouldn’t get the point but it would stop Merc getting it. That’s a tactical option that none of the pundits seemed to think about. The teams are taking the extra point seriously coz it’s 21 points available overa season. Maybe the FIA will ammend the regs sonthat drivers outside the top ten could get the point. It would certainly provide some interest in races where nothing normally changes in the last 10 laps or so.
