2018 F1 launch dates so far
Who is looking forward to the whining about halos reaching peak tedium? It was interesting that the new generation of Formula E car actually made a halo look good, so maybe some of the teams will achieve something similar. I will be intrigued to see if Ferrari retain their sidepod design this season and also if it is a concept that gets adopted elsewhere.
The Red Bull launch is today. Last year everyone thought they were going to see something amazing but they pulled the covers off to reveal a fairly uninspiring machine, followed by a month of comments about waiting to see the real car at the first test, second test, first race, before realising that they just hadn't really delivered. This season they have to be contenders though, don't they?
They can certainly do a nice one-off livery at Red Bull. Is that another Ferrari-esque sidepod too?
If Aston Martin keep that level of prominence on the race livery, it won't be at all confusing for the car with the Tag Heuer engine built and managed by Renault. Did anything more ever come from the rumours that Renault will stop supplying Red Bull in a season or two from now?
