Adios marbles

Post by Snap Matt » Mon Feb 05, 2018 12:17 pm

Age may be catching me up. Last week I was adding soy sauce to a stir fry (slightly distracted by my daughter asking if hedgehogs have mouths). I put maybe a quarter of a bottle in before registering a kind of acrid smell. It turned out I had the Worcester sauce bottle instead.

Worse, though, I was making a sandwich to take to work on Friday when #1 child asked if the jar I had was pickle. "What else would it be in a cheese and pickle sandwich?" I said... turns out it was very nearly mincemeat; although part of me wonders if it might have been quite nice.

I think you need to pass the food preparation duties over to the daughter. :B

Are you related to Letitia Cropley by any chance?

No, not you! Matt! His culinary experiments - cheese&mincemeat - sound strangely reminiscent of her Cordon Bleurgh cooking!

I had to Google the name...

Experiment isn't the word so much as accident. I think it would have been less of a stretch than the first person that tried Marmite?

Mind you, I have recently developed a taste for peanut butter and nutella on toast.
